The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, has urged northern politicians eyeing the presidency in 2027 to drop their ambitions, affirming that President Bola Tinubu will serve two full terms.
Speaking on Tuesday at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja, where he received delegations from the Tinubu Media Centre and the Tinubu Northern Youth Forum, Ganduje emphasized that it would be unfair to deny Tinubu re-election in 2027, as a northern leader had previously served for eight years.
“When a northern president served for eight years, we insisted the next leader should come from the South. With Nigerians’ support, Tinubu became president. Insha Allah, he will complete his second term in 2027, and then the presidency will return to the North,” Ganduje said.
He praised Tinubu’s policies, stating that economic reforms are already producing positive results. “Our President is a reformer and visionary leader. Fixing long-standing issues takes time, but progress is visible, especially in the economy,” he added.
Ganduje also highlighted the APC Progressive Institute, which educates party members on the party’s vision and offers policy recommendations to the government.
Meanwhile, the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, Olusegun Dada, assured that the PBAT Media Centre would counter misinformation and highlight the administration’s achievements ahead of the 2027 elections.
Ganduje reaffirmed his commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda, pledging to maintain party unity and uphold APC’s zoning formula.
