Ten labourers were killed on Friday when their vehicle was hit by an improvised explosive device (IED) in Harnai district, southwest Pakistan.
According to senior government official Shahzad Zahri, the workers were traveling from their work site to the market when their car was attacked. Another official, Saleem Tareen, confirmed the explosion was caused by an IED and said investigations are ongoing.
Harnai is about 160 kilometers from Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province. No group has claimed responsibility, but the Baloch Liberation Army is known for carrying out attacks in the region.
