Gaza a ‘Mass Grave’ for Palestinians and Aid Workers – MSF

Gaza Strip – April 16, 2025 – Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières, MSF) has strongly condemned Israel’s ongoing military campaign in Gaza, describing it as turning the enclave into a “mass grave for Palestinians and those coming to their assistance.”

🔴 Key Accusations from MSF:

  • Israel shows “blatant disregard” for humanitarian workers’ safety.
  • Medical teams and facilities are being targeted or forced to evacuate under threat.
  • 15 medics and rescuers were killed last month after Israeli forces opened fire on ambulances.
  • Critical shortages of medical supplies, fuel, and clean water have paralyzed aid efforts.
  • Humanitarian corridors are nearly non-existent, MSF’s Amande Bazerolle said.

“We are witnessing in real time the destruction and forced displacement of the entire population in Gaza.” — Amande Bazerolle, MSF Emergency Coordinator

🏥 Humanitarian Crisis Worsens

  • Israel has blocked all aid since March 2, 2025.
  • Medical teams operate in extreme conditions, often trapped with patients for hours without safe exits.
  • The UN reports severe shortages of food, medicine, fuel, and clean water.

🛑 Israel’s Stance on Aid and Occupation

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz reiterated that:

  • No humanitarian aid will enter Gaza, calling it a “main pressure tool” against Hamas.
  • Israeli forces will “remain in the security zones” indefinitely to create a buffer for Israeli communities.

💔 Casualty Figures

  • Over 51,000 Palestinians have been killed since October 2023, most of them women and children, according to Gaza authorities.
  • Tens of thousands more remain missing or wounded.
  • Entire neighborhoods across Gaza City, Jabalia, and Khan Younis have been flattened.

🕊️ Ceasefire Talks at a Standstill

According to mynewslive247

  • Negotiations are stalled.
  • Israel reportedly demands Hamas disarm and exile 200 of its members before ending the war.
  • Hamas insists no ceasefire is possible without ending the occupation.

“Gaza is in ruins. People are running out of hope and patience.”
