Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has officially returned to the club’s training ground after recovering from pneumonia, the club confirmed on Thursday.

The 47-year-old was hospitalised earlier in April and missed three crucial Premier League fixtures against Manchester United, Crystal Palace, and Aston Villa.

“Newcastle United are delighted to confirm that Eddie Howe has returned to his duties at the club’s training centre,” a club statement read.
“Eddie had recently been hospitalised with pneumonia and has now returned to work after a period of recovery.
We thank supporters for their warm wishes.”

Assistant Manager Jason Tindall Took Temporary Charge

While Howe was sidelined, assistant coach Jason Tindall led the team to strong wins over Manchester United and Crystal Palace, but the Magpies suffered a heavy defeat to Aston Villa.

Newcastle Targets Champions League Spot

Currently sitting fifth in the Premier League, Newcastle remain in the hunt for Champions League qualification, with the top five teams guaranteed spots in Europe’s elite competition next season.

Fresh off their League Cup triumph last month, the Magpies host Ipswich Town on Saturday — a chance to regain momentum and strengthen their top-four bid.
