Jumoke George’s Missing Daughter, Adeola, Found in Mali After Four Years

Adeola, the 41-year-old daughter of renowned Yoruba actress Jumoke George, has been found alive in Mali, four years after she was reported missing.

The emotional revelation was shared by actress and talk show host Biola Bayo on Wednesday, who disclosed that she recently spoke with Adeola via video call. Although Adeola has yet to directly contact her mother, Jumoke, the veteran actress expressed immense relief knowing her daughter is alive.

Jumoke George had previously opened up during an interview on the Talk to B show, recounting how her daughter went missing after leaving her grandmother’s home in Ibadan, stating she was heading to Lagos. Jumoke revealed that all attempts to reach Adeola were futile, and she had spent most of her earnings from occasional acting gigs searching for her.

In the emotional interview, the actress also shared her ongoing battle with serious health issues and financial hardship. She explained that due to her condition, she had to decline or refund acting job payments, and had to borrow money for medical treatment. Jumoke said further tests, costing around ₦400,000, were required for a full diagnosis.

“There are some things that are embarrassing to say, but at this point, I have no choice. I want to speak out,” she said, breaking down in tears during the show.
“My first child, Adeola, has been missing. I’ve been looking for her for the past four years. Any small money I get from working was spent on looking for her.”

Biola Bayo, in her update on Instagram, wrote:

“I finally got to speak with Adeola. She hasn’t called her mom yet, but Mom is happy she’s alive.”

She also confirmed that Jumoke George is currently undergoing medical care at a state hospital in Lagos and awaiting further evaluation before discharge or admission.

Background: Adeola reportedly traveled abroad in search of better opportunities, according to her mother. After years of silence, she reconnected via a third party, asking for forgiveness and revealing she had left Nigeria with friends.
