PDP: Atiku, Obi, El-Rufai Coalition Can End Tinubu’s Presidency in 2027 — If United
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has projected that a political alliance involving Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Nasir El-Rufai, and other influential figures could decisively defeat President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 presidential election, if key conditions are met.
According to Hon. Timothy Osadolor, PDP Deputy National Youth Leader, such a coalition, if based on genuine unity and strategic campaigning, could wrap up the election by 1pm on voting day.
🔍 Coalition Potential:
Osadolor argued that:
- In 2023, Atiku and Obi collectively garnered over 13 million votes, compared to Tinubu’s 8 million.
- A united ticket, avoiding ego conflicts and backed by El-Rufai’s influence, could appeal to a nation disillusioned by hunger, insecurity, and economic hardship.
“It could be Nigerians versus Bola Tinubu and the APC,” Osadolor said.
📉 Criticism of APC Governance:
He condemned recent federal cash disbursements to state governors as political patronage, labeling them evidence of corruption and mismanagement.
“These actions only deepen public frustration. Let the APC keep spending; it will only hasten their downfall,” he added.
⚠️ Conditions for Success:
For the coalition to triumph, Osadolor stressed:
- Ego-free collaboration
- Grassroots mobilization
- Focus on youth and disenfranchised groups
- Clear campaign messaging against APC’s failures
