Bruno Fernandes Willing to Leave Manchester United to Aid Club Rebuild


Following Manchester United’s devastating Europa League final defeat to Tottenham, club captain Bruno Fernandes has made a stunning offer: he is willing to leave the club if it helps facilitate a major rebuild.

United fell 1-0 to Spurs in Bilbao, courtesy of a goal from Brennan Johnson, closing out a season described by many fans as one of the worst in recent history.


🗣️ Fernandes: “If They Want to Cash In, It Is What It Is”

The 30-year-old Portuguese midfielder, who has been one of United’s few bright spots this season, expressed both his commitment and flexibility in a post-match interview:

“I’ve always said I’ll be here until the club tells me it’s time to go. If the club wants to do some cashing in or thinks it’s time to part ways, football is like this.”

Despite his loyalty, Fernandes acknowledged that United’s financial challenges and poor performances may require drastic change.


⚽ A Season to Forget

United’s manager, Ruben Amorim, who took charge in November, has only managed six Premier League wins and currently sits 16th in the league, heading for their worst finish since 1974.

Amorim himself hinted at an uncertain future, stating:

“If the club no longer wants me, I’ll leave without any conversation about compensation.”

Fernandes supported his manager, saying:

“We just agreed that he’s the right man. He has done a lot of good things. It’s about bringing positivity back to the club and fighting for big trophies.”


😢 Europa League Final: “A Very Sad Day”

Reflecting on the final, Fernandes said:

“We wanted to win more than anything… But football is cruel. Today was our turn to lose.”

He added that the team had hoped to write a new chapter in Europa League history but failed to deliver on the night that mattered most.
