Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Thursday that Israel is “changing the face of the world” as it continues a week-long military campaign against Iran. Speaking to Israel’s public broadcaster Kan, Netanyahu claimed that more than half of Iran’s missile launchers had been destroyed.
“I said that we’re changing the face of the Middle East, and now I say we’re changing the face of the world,” Netanyahu declared, highlighting the scale and intensity of Israel’s targeted strikes on Iran’s military infrastructure.
The Prime Minister also made an open appeal for international support, stating: “We are capable of striking all of Iran’s nuclear facilities, but all help is welcome.” Netanyahu’s comments appear to acknowledge the limitations of Israel’s military reach, especially against heavily fortified sites like Iran’s Fordo nuclear plant, which may require U.S. “bunker buster” capabilities to destroy.
His remarks come as U.S. President Donald Trump considers whether to join Israel’s military actions. Netanyahu noted, “President Trump will do what is good for the United States, and I will do what is good for the State of Israel.”
The conflict, which erupted last week with Israeli strikes on Iran’s nuclear and military assets, has heightened global fears of a wider regional war and intensified discussions about nuclear non-proliferation, diplomacy, and international military alliances.
