The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has sealed the Abuja offices of TLS Contact, a visa processing centre representing France, Belgium, and Italy, over alleged assault on federal officers and refusal to provide prepaid services to Nigerian consumers.

FCCPC Director of Surveillance and Investigations, Mrs. Boladale Adeyinka, revealed that TLS Contact obstructed multiple investigations and physically assaulted enforcement officers and police personnel. The investigation began in March 2025 following widespread complaints of non-performance in visa application support.

After TLS officials refused to accept summons and continued to block lawful investigations, FCCPC, invoking Section 18(1)(f) of its Act, ordered the shutdown of the premises.

TLS managers have been summoned to appear before the commission by June 20, 2025. Failure to comply could attract penalties of up to ₦20 million or a three-year jail term under Sections 33(3) and (4) of the FCCPC Act.

The shutdown affects Nigerian applicants traveling to France, Belgium, and Italy. FCCPC urges affected consumers to submit complaints and documentation to aid the ongoing investigation.

“No organisation is above Nigerian law. This is a warning to all service providers,” Adeyinka said.
