Napoli Reject €70m Galatasaray Bid for Victor Osimhen, Demand €75m Guaranteed Fee

OSIMHEN

Napoli have rejected a €70 million bid from Galatasaray for Victor Osimhen, as the Serie A side holds firm on demanding a €75 million guaranteed transfer fee, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Romano disclosed via his social media platforms on Friday that Galatasaray’s latest offer included banking guarantees to ensure prompt payment, but Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis refused the proposal.

“Understand Napoli have now rejected new formal proposal sent by Galatasaray today for Victor Osimhen,” Romano reported.
“Galatasaray offered €70m today with bank documents attached for payment guarantees… Napoli president De Laurentiis wants €75m guaranteed and he has rejected.”

Stalemate in Osimhen Transfer Talks

This latest rejection is another twist in the ongoing transfer saga, with Galatasaray’s pursuit of the Nigerian international dragging on for weeks.

Previous negotiations suggested that both clubs were close to agreeing on a structured €75m deal, with payments split into five instalments. However, Napoli have made it clear that they will only accept the full amount upfront.

The rejection also comes amid shifting priorities in the transfer market, with Premier League clubs cooling their interest. Arsenal and Manchester United, once rumoured to be in the mix, are now focusing on alternative targets such as Bryan Mbeumo of Brentford.

Saudi Arabia Rebuffed by Osimhen

Despite intense interest from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal, Osimhen remains unwilling to make a move to the Middle East, preferring to stay in Europe.

Reports indicate that Napoli had encouraged a transfer to Saudi Arabia, likely due to the financial incentives, but the striker has stayed firm in his stance, favouring continuity in Europe — especially after a loan spell at Galatasaray last season, where he excelled.

No Exit Yet for Napoli’s Star Striker

The 26-year-old forward, who played a pivotal role in Napoli’s Serie A title two seasons ago, continues to attract widespread attention but has no confirmed destination as clubs fail to match the €75m release clause.

Galatasaray, despite making the most sustained effort, have once again fallen short — and unless they return with a guaranteed €75m bid, Osimhen may remain at Napoli into the new season.
