Chelsea FC pulled off a thrilling comeback to defeat Real Betis 4-1 in the UEFA Conference League final, becoming the first football club in history to win the Champions League, Europa League, Conference League, and the now-defunct Cup Winners’ Cup.

Despite going behind to a ninth-minute opener by Abde Ezzalzouli, Chelsea responded with a stunning second-half display led by man-of-the-match Cole Palmer, who assisted two quick-fire goals for Enzo Fernandez and Nicolas Jackson.

Substitutes Jadon Sancho and Moises Caicedo sealed the victory late on, handing the Premier League side their first silverware since 2022 under new ownership.

First Half: Real Betis Stuns Early

Betis, managed by Manuel Pellegrini, stunned the English side early when Ezzalzouli drilled home a clever assist from Isco, capitalizing on a Malo Gusto error in midfield.

Chelsea struggled to penetrate Betis’ organized defense in the first half, with goalkeeper Adrian and midfielder Isco controlling the tempo.

Second Half: Chelsea Roars Back with Flair

Manager Enzo Maresca introduced captain Reece James at halftime, a tactical shift that sparked Chelsea’s revival.

At the 65th minute, Cole Palmer’s pinpoint cross found Enzo Fernandez, who headed home the equalizer. Five minutes later, Palmer’s brilliance again set up Jackson for Chelsea’s second.

Sancho, combining with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, added a third in the 83rd minute, and Caicedo wrapped it up in the final minutes to complete the comeback.

Historic Victory for Chelsea

The win marks a historic milestone for Chelsea, making them the only club to win all four major UEFA club competitions.

It also ended a 27-final winning streak by Spanish teams in major international men’s football finals involving La Liga clubs.

Match Summary:

  • ⚽ Betis: Ezzalzouli (9′)
