Don Jazzy Stuns Fan with ₦6 Million Gift After Seeing ₦67 Account Balance

Social media went into a frenzy on Thursday as Nigerian music mogul Don Jazzy and fellow artist Shallipopi showered fans with unexpected cash giveaways totaling millions of naira.

The most talked-about moment came when Don Jazzy, real name Michael Ajereh, gifted a fan, Adeyemi Adejoke Abidemi, a staggering ₦6 million after noticing her account balance was just ₦67.29.

How It Started: A Simple Tag

It all began with a viral post on X.com (formerly Twitter) encouraging users to tag a celebrity who might send them ₦1 million. Adeyemi, tweeting under the handle #PopoolaJoke4, tagged Don Jazzy and wrote:

“Make I tag #DONJAZZY. I dey always dream about him. Happy new month sir.”

Don Jazzy playfully replied, “Akant namba,” prompting her to share her GTBank account details. Within minutes, she received ₦1 million, confirmed by a screenshot and a heartfelt message:

“Jesuuuuuusssssssss, this is huge. Thank you so much… Receiving ₦1 million is beyond anything I expected.”

The Surprise Didn’t End There

What touched Don Jazzy further was the screenshot showing her initial balance of just ₦67.29. Moved by the situation, he replied:

“Amen ooo. That your akant balance is not healthy. I don add another 5 million. More blessings ma.”

Adeyemi confirmed the additional ₦5 million, bringing the total to ₦6 million. She shared:

“May your hands never lack… Your generations will forever enjoy divine favour.”

To critics who doubted her sincerity, she clarified:

“None of my accounts get ₦1, I can screenshot all for you, only GTBank get ₦67.”

Shallipopi Joins the Generosity Train

In a similar spirit of giving, Shallipopi (Crown Uzama) also gave ₦1 million each to two fans during a promotion for his latest album.

One fan, Samuel Uchechukwu Ifesinachi (@teslime_dmw), lamented his financial state and inability to buy a speaker for the summer. Shallipopi responded:

“Imma send u a million if you promise to get yourself a very big JBL.”

After the fan agreed, Shallipopi posted a receipt of the transaction.

Another fan, Anirah Gabriel (@gabe_the_menace), reminded Shallipopi of a March interaction where he requested to be “shocked.” The artist replied, “Now u are talking,” and promptly sent him ₦1 million, also sharing proof.
