10th February 2025

The Federal Government has set February 17, 2025, as the final deadline for civil servants to complete their identity verification on the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS). This move aims to eliminate ghost workers and ensure payroll accuracy.

A memo from the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation confirmed the extension of the verification portal for one more week, from February 10 to February 17, 2025.

To complete the process, civil servants must provide their Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), IPPIS number, and salary account details. Failure to verify by the deadline may result in salary suspension and other penalties.

Government agencies have been urged to ensure all employees comply before the cut-off date.
