Portuguese footballer João Félix has signed a two-year contract with Saudi club Al Nassr, where he will play alongside fellow countryman Cristiano Ronaldo, the club confirmed on Tuesday.
Once hailed as a rising star, Félix made headlines with his €127.7 million transfer from Benfica to Atlético Madrid in 2019—making him one of the most expensive players in football history.
Now 25, Félix has seen his form decline, with underwhelming spells at Barcelona, AC Milan, and Chelsea. Since leaving Benfica, he has not managed to score more than 10 goals in a single season.
In a video shared on the club’s X (formerly Twitter) page, Félix said: “I’m here to spread joy. Let’s win together.” Al Nassr’s official statement confirmed he has signed until 2027.
The move is expected to boost Al Nassr’s attacking power as Saudi clubs continue to attract top-tier European talents.
