Our correspondent, who monitored the situation firsthand, reported that traffic was unusually light along the expressway stretching into Ikeja, with most residents off the roads.

Police Enforce Movement Restriction

Despite official announcements that voting would commence by 8:00 a.m., the Alausa area remained quiet as of 8:18 a.m., with few signs of voter activity or movement.

Election Holds Across All LGAs

The local government elections are being conducted across all 20 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in Lagos State. The exercise is expected to shape grassroots leadership and local policy direction for the next four years.
