Lagos Reschedules 2025 Public Service Exams to May 23 for Transparency

The Lagos State Government has officially postponed the 2025 Public Service Examinations, originally scheduled for Tuesday, May 13, to a new date of Friday, May 23, 2025.

In a statement released on Monday, Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu, Director of the Lagos State Examinations Board, explained that the adjustment was made to uphold the integrity of the examination process and ensure fairness for all candidates.

“The decision was taken to ensure the integrity of the examination process and guarantee a fair experience for all candidates,” Orunsolu stated.

The announcement, which was also shared on the state government’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, generated swift reactions and offered additional preparation time for thousands of civil service aspirants across Lagos.

Orunsolu added that specific paper schedules will be released shortly via official channels, advising candidates to monitor the Exams Board portal at examsboard.lagosstate.gov.ng for timely updates.

Candidates are also reminded to retain their registration details and print their exam slips once the updated timetable is published.

The Director expressed gratitude to stakeholders for their patience and emphasized the government’s commitment to conducting the examinations in a credible, transparent, and efficient manner.
