The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has confirmed that air interdictions by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai killed scores of terrorists and destroyed their stronghold in Borno State.

Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday in Abuja.

According to Ejodame, the strikes were carried out at about 10:50 a.m. on Wednesday in Bula Madibale, Gezuwa general area, following credible intelligence reports.

Surveillance had earlier detected unusual terrorist movements at the site, with about 45 insurgents converging—some arriving on motorcycles and bicycles from multiple directions. Reconnaissance also confirmed the presence of two terrorist flags, indicating the location’s role as a rallying point and operational hub.

“Acting on this intelligence, the Air Component launched precision strikes that eliminated several terrorists. The flagged structure and other hostile assets were also destroyed,” Ejodame said.

He added that the airstrikes disrupted the terrorists’ ability to regroup, reinforce, or launch fresh attacks against communities in the North East.

Ejodame further assured that the Armed Forces remain committed to restoring peace and stability in the region through sustained counterterrorism operations.
