Nasarawa State, Advent Integrated Services Partner on 4,000-Bed Student Housing Project at NSUK
Keffi, Nasarawa | May 2025 — In a landmark move to transform student housing in Nigeria, Advent Integrated Services Limited has signed a Concession Agreement with the Nasarawa State Government, Nasarawa Investment and Development Agency (NASIDA), and Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) to deliver a 4,000-bed purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) on the university campus.
The project will be executed under a 25-year Public-Private Partnership (PPP) arrangement, aiming to address the severe accommodation deficit among students by providing safe, modern, and well-equipped living spaces. The first phase of the development will provide 1,152 bedspaces, with subsequent phases scaling up to the full 4,000 capacity.
A Boost for Educational Infrastructure
At the signing ceremony, Governor Abdullahi Sule praised the partnership, affirming his administration’s dedication to enhancing educational infrastructure.
“This hostel project is a testament to our resolve to provide safe and secure housing for students within the university premises,” he stated. “We are proud to partner with Advent Integrated Services and assure all stakeholders of our continued support.”
NSUK Welcomes Milestone
NSUK Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan, commended the initiative, describing it as a landmark achievement in her administration. She credited previous infrastructure efforts—like the 4.5 km road network and a new Senate Building—as part of the state government’s long-term commitment to the university’s growth.
“This project will elevate the learning experience and position NSUK among top institutions in Nigeria,” she added.
Advent: Committed to Student Empowerment
Mr. Goke Dokun, Managing Director of Advent Integrated Services, emphasized that the project is more than infrastructure—it’s about empowering students, creating jobs, and stimulating the local economy.
“With this initiative, Advent becomes one of Nigeria’s leading providers of PBSA, managing a portfolio of 7,246 bedspaces across the country,” he said.
Towards a Better Student Experience
The development will include state-of-the-art amenities that foster a conducive learning environment and provide much-needed relief to students who often face housing challenges.
With this strategic collaboration, Nasarawa State is setting a national example in the public-private delivery of education-focused infrastructure.
