Pastor Adeboye: “Tithing 10% is Just the Beginning,Aim Higher for Financial Blessings”

During a sermon at the RCCG Youth Convention, Pastor Enoch Adeboye shared a powerful message on tithing, stating that paying 10% as tithe is only for beginners. He encouraged the congregation to aspire to give more, explaining that those seeking true financial abundance must go “far beyond 10%.”

Addressing the crowd, Adeboye reflected on a personal experience with a businessman who pledged 90% of his earnings to God, resulting in a $50 million turnover within five years. Inspired by this, Adeboye revealed that he, too, has gradually increased his own giving, and although he hasn’t yet reached 90%, he’s far beyond 10%.

He also apologized for a past statement suggesting that non-tithers might not make it to heaven, clarifying that the Bible emphasizes peace and holiness as prerequisites for salvation.

“It’s wrong to limit yourself to just 10% when others are giving 20, 30, or even 40%. Tithing at 10% is a starting point, but those who want to excel must go higher,” Adeboye said, promising to share more insights soon.

He concluded by urging Christians to seek God as their senior partner in all endeavours, highlighting that faithful and generous giving leads to extraordinary financial growth and blessings.
