Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has congratulated former President Olusegun Obasanjo on his 88th birthday, recognizing his wisdom, leadership, and dedication to Nigeria.
In a statement by his spokesman, Gyang Bere, Mutfwang described Obasanjo as a statesman and mentor who has played a crucial role in shaping Nigeria’s leadership, both in the military and democracy. He commended Obasanjo’s unwavering commitment to national unity, peace, and development, highlighting his impact on Nigeria’s democratic and economic growth during his presidency from 1999 to 2007.
The governor also acknowledged Obasanjo’s efforts in promoting peace, including his contributions to stability in Plateau State, particularly during the 2024 Plateau Peace and Unity Christmas Carol.
On behalf of his family and the people of Plateau State, Mutfwang wished Obasanjo good health, strength, and continued blessings as he continues to serve the nation.
