Security operatives in Anambra State have launched an urgent investigation into the suspicious death of a pregnant woman, whose body was discovered hanging from a cashew tree along the Ike-Ideani Road in Idemili North Local Government Area. The shocking incident occurred in the Ideani Community, where residents were stunned by the gruesome discovery.

Residents of Ideani were left in disbelief upon finding the woman’s lifeless body suspended from the tree in a secluded area of the community. Authorities from the Ogidi Police Division promptly recovered the body and transferred it to the mortuary for a thorough examination.
In response to the tragedy, Commissioner of Police Ikioye Orutugu has called on community leaders and stakeholders to assist law enforcement by providing any information that might help clarify the cause of the woman’s death.
