President Bola Tinubu returned to Abuja on Tuesday evening, ending his 10-day vacation in Paris and London earlier than scheduled.
The Airbus A330 carrying the President landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at 6:50 p.m. local time, according to the State House.
Tinubu, who left Nigeria on September 4, had initially been expected to remain in Europe until later this week. No official reason was provided for his decision to cut the trip short.
Context of His Return
The President’s return coincides with the expiration of the six-month emergency rule in Rivers State, which elapses on Thursday.
Since January 2025, the 73-year-old President has embarked on 15 foreign trips, frequently combining official engagements with periods of rest. His last known vacation was in April, when he spent about 14 working days in Paris and London.
