Governor Monday Okpebholo has hailed the establishment of the Federal University of Sports in Edo State, calling it a major step toward advancing education and youth development.
He praised President Bola Tinubu for signing the bill into law, expressing confidence that the university would become a center of excellence, attracting students and scholars nationwide.
“This institution will not only create opportunities for our youth but also drive socio-economic growth in Edo and Nigeria as a whole,” Okpebholo said.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to working with the Federal Government to ensure the university’s smooth take-off and long-term success.
