Victor Osimhen Scores Twice as Galatasaray Beat Bodo/Glimt 3–1 in Champions League Thriller

Victor Osimhen continued his remarkable scoring run on Wednesday night, netting twice to inspire Galatasaray to a 3–1 victory over Bodo/Glimt in their UEFA Champions League clash at RAMS Park.

The Nigerian striker wasted no time in making his mark, breaking the deadlock in the third minute with a precise strike from the edge of the box after a clever setup by Mario Lemina.

Osimhen struck again just after the half-hour mark, capitalizing on a defensive error from the Norwegian visitors to slot home his second of the night and double Galatasaray’s advantage.

With his brace, the 26-year-old Super Eagles forward etched his name into Galatasaray’s history books, becoming only the second player to score in seven consecutive European matches for the Turkish giants.

The home side maintained their dominance in the second half, and Yunus Akgun added a third goal in the 60th minute to put the result beyond doubt.

Andreas Helmersen pulled one back for Bodo/Glimt, but it proved nothing more than a consolation as the Turkish champions comfortably saw out the game.

Osimhen, who received a standing ovation from the passionate Galatasaray supporters, was substituted for Mauro Icardi in the 73rd minute after another dazzling performance.

Osimhen’s Record-Breaking Form Continues

Osimhen’s brace takes his tally to seven goals in the Champions League campaign, further underlining his status as one of Europe’s most in-form strikers.

Since joining Galatasaray, the Nigerian star has been a consistent match-winner, combining pace, power, and precision to terrorize defenders across Europe.

Fans and analysts alike have praised his clinical finishing and leadership on the pitch, with many tipping him to be among the top scorers in this season’s UEFA Champions League.
