Cross River State Governor, Senator Bassey Otu, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former Federal Commissioner for Information, Edwin Clark, extending condolences to his family and the nation.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Nsa Gill, on Tuesday, Otu described Clark’s death as a great loss, despite his fulfilling 97 years of life. He recalled recently sending well wishes to Clark, who was unable to join a Pan Niger Delta Forum delegation due to health reasons, highlighting his strong bond with Cross River.

The governor praised Clark’s lifelong dedication to public service and national development, stating that his contributions will continue to inspire future generations.

Otu assured that Clark would be given a befitting burial and urged Nigerians to celebrate his remarkable legacy.
